“It is true that from a behavioral economics perspective we are fallible, easily confused, not that smart, and often irrational. We are more like Homer Simpson than Superman. So from this perspective it is rather depressing. But at the same time there is also a silver lining. There are free lunches!”

Who Is Dan Ariely?
Dan is a master at explaining behavioural economics in simple, everyday language. His interest began after a serious accident left him with severe burns.
The painful hospital treatments made him wonder: how can we make unavoidable pain easier to bear? That question pulled him into research on why we so often make irrational choices—and how to change that.
Dan has since learned that these insights apply everywhere, including money, health, habits, and even relationships. And he’s set out to share them with others.
He has written numerous best-selling books (Predictably Irrational, The Upside of Irrationality, The Honest Truth About Dishonesty), produced a film (Dishonesty), and even created a game (Irrational Game), all to make this science fun, useful, and easy to understand.
Today, he’s a Professor at Duke University and a founding member of the Center for Advanced Hindsight.
Do You Get A Certificate At The End?
Upon passing the course, you will receive a certificate from Dan, which you can share on your LinkedIn profile or print out and hang proudly on your wall at home.
The course is also CPD-certified for those who wish to add it to their CPD log.
