Our Circular Economy course is now live!
Hold onto your hats, folks.
There’s a new course in town!
We’re enormously proud and excited to announce that our Circular Economy course is now live.
It’s the second course we’ve made in collaboration with the world-famous Parsons School of Design - the number one design school in the U.S.
What’s the circular economy?
It’s a radical new approach to the way we live that is better for us and the planet.
But what’s so wrong with our current one, you ask?
Our current model is based upon a linear ‘take’, ‘make’, ‘waste’ approach.
In other words, it ‘takes’ natural resources, ‘makes’ them into things, and then those things become ‘waste’ when we finish using them.
You don’t need to be a genius to figure out that this is unsustainable.
It’s also a significant contributor to climate change and environmental degradation.
How does the circular economy tackle the issues caused by the linear economy?
The circular economy uses materials repeatedly in a cycle, much like nature.
Nature has no concept of waste as all nutrients, and this ‘zero waste’ approach is the future the circular economy aims to create.
This means that landfills should become something of the past, and far fewer Co2 emissions will be generated as less new stuff will need to be made.
What will I learn in this course?
The course covers key topics, including the following:
1. The key themes and vocabulary of the circular economy
2. The current drivers of the circular economy
3. The current barriers to the circular economy
4. The different circular business models
5. How you can help your business transition to the circular economy
6. How you can help promote awareness of the circular economy
Who will I be learning from?
You’ll learn from some of the industry’s best practitioners throughout the course and receive inspiration from case studies that show the circular economy in action.
Who is this course aimed at?
There’s no prior experience required, and upon passing, you’ll get a certification from Parsons.
Sound interesting to you?
