Hello and welcome to a ringer of Friday Fun Facts. Let's kick off with a swoosh - the designer of the Nike logo was an art student named Carolyne Davidson and she was paid $35 for her efforts. The marketing manager said what every designer dreams of hearing - "I don't love it, but I think it will grow on me."

One of the newer features of smartphones is "haptic touch" - which means you get a physical response from your phone when you do certain things, like scroll to the end of a list, there's a little bump that makes you understand that it's the end of the list. This works in other parts of life too - it's been found that people whose CVs arrive in heavier folders get taken more seriously!

How many senses do you have? Five is the answer we are all taught from childhood, but much like the Easter Bunny and most of sex-ed, it is wrong. The current count of human senses is 21 and climbing. For example, if you're blindfolded, how do you know where your hands are? You know, thanks to a sense called proprioception. You also know which way is up thanks to the vestibular system in your inner ear.

How do you know when someone is lying? There are a few ways, but one is to ask someone a question to which they will answer "no". If "no" is not the truth, the liar will probably make it sound odd - they'll stretch it out (nooooooo), say it in a sing song voice, look up or away, or try to change the conversation as quickly as possible.

And finally, have you ever wondered what happened to your first MySpace friend, Tom? Tom Anderson founded the site that everybody (above a certain age) had a brief but turbulent love affair with, which got eaten up by Facebook. Now, Tom does what all the best social media people do - spends most of his time taking amazing Instagram pics.
